I’m Jaxon. I work in IT, mostly around systems administration, security, and automation.
This site is kind of a mix between a portfolio and a place to drop whatever I’m working on. It’s not supposed to be formal or polished. It’s just everything I’ve built, broken, or learned over time in one place.
Where It Started
I didn’t plan on getting into IT. I just liked building PCs, running servers, and figuring out how things worked. That turned into fixing stuff for other people, which turned into a job.
I started on a service desk doing the usual small business IT things. Basic tickets, troubleshooting, user setups, all that. After a while, I got into projects that were more backend-focused, like setting up security tools, testing automation, and learning how to make environments consistent instead of reactive.
Now I work as a Systems Administrator at CIO Technology Solutions. I handle RMM configuration, endpoint security, automation, and process improvements for a bunch of small businesses. I use tools like NinjaOne, Huntress, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, DNSFilter, and Liongard. Most of what I do revolves around making things more secure and less annoying for people to manage.
Floatpoint and Observe
Outside of work, I run a few projects.
Floatpoint started as a hosting platform but turned into something more about infrastructure and automation. I got really into securing it, building out monitoring, and designing it to be reliable without constant hands-on work.
Observe grew out of that, focusing on analytics and system monitoring. It’s a way to see how everything’s running in real time and learn from it.
Those projects give me room to experiment with stuff I can’t always do at work, and they’ve taught me a lot about how to scale, automate, and secure things properly.
Why This Exists
This site is basically my spot to put all that together. I’ll post about what I’m working on, how I’m solving problems, or just general IT stuff I think is worth sharing.
It’s not meant to be a blog I update every week or anything like that. Just something that grows naturally as I go.
If you’re reading this because you’re curious about what I do, or maybe thinking about working together, this is the best way to get a sense of how I actually think and work.
